Richmond has increased affordable rental requirements from 10% to 15% and rejected a motion to phase it in over 2 yrs. It was a 5-4 vote.
Day, Wolfe, Steves, Broadie, and Au all voted for immediate implementation. Hobbs, Loo, McNulty, McPhail voted to phase-in the Low End Market Rental (LEMR )increase over two years…
We need affordable housing solutions now, and we can’t delay it.
